Pattern (Oxford English Dictionary)
a regular and intelligible form or sequence discernible in the way something happens or is done.
Is this truly your circumstances, or a pattern your subconscious mind keeps running?
Change can be confusing. Sometimes a struggle is caused by a real circumstance happening right now. Other times, the circumstance has passed, but the subconscious mind keeps responding as though the original demand is still present. So first, let us understand what is actually happening.
Conscious patterns are deliberate, logical thoughts and actions you actively focus on, whereas subconscious patterns are automatic habits, emotional reactions, and beliefs that run in the background without your direct attention.
a regular and intelligible form or sequence discernible in the way something happens or is done.
a recurring thought, emotional, or behavioral response that the mind repeats automatically, often below conscious awareness, in an effort to protect or prepare a person for a perceived threat.
A real, present demand: your nervous system has a built-in alarm system, a signal that says, pay attention, something might be wrong. When a real threat or demand appears, the brain activates stress, fear, or vigilance to help you respond. Once the situation passes, the brain quiets the signal. In short, a protective response equals protection during a real demand.
A subconscious pattern: this happens when the alarm keeps sounding even though the original demand has passed. The nervous system becomes sensitized, and the subconscious mind keeps interpreting ordinary situations, people, or sensations as though they were still dangerous. This is sometimes called a conditioned response or a neuroplastic pattern. In short, a subconscious pattern equals protection that has outlived its purpose.
What you feel is real, always. But not everything you feel points to present danger. The same subconscious mind that created the pattern can also learn to release it, once it learns safety again. That is the goal of Rami Bareket, Transformation and Performance: helping the subconscious mind and nervous system remember what safety feels like, through hypnosis and NLP.
This assessment helps you explore whether your nervous system may be running on high alert, creating a subconscious pattern, even when the original circumstance is no longer present. You will notice that many statements touch on emotions, thoughts, and daily patterns, because a pattern like this is rarely only physical or only mental. It is shaped by how the subconscious mind interprets everything happening around you.
Please read each statement and select the response that best describes your experience. Trust your instincts; your first thought is often the most accurate one. There are no right or wrong answers, only insight into how your subconscious mind is currently responding.
For each statement, choose what feels most true for you: Always, Often, Sometimes, or Rarely.
